Reflexology is a relaxation method that applies rhythmic thumb pressure to specific points on the soles of the feet. Tradition maps these points to body regions; the strongest evidence, however, points to relaxation and relief of foot fatigue. This guide keeps the claims honest, drawing on what we actually see in the salon.

What can you expect from reflexology?

  • Clear relief of tired feet: the most distinct benefit, especially for people on their feet all day.
  • Deep calm: the sole is rich in nerve endings; rhythmic pressure leaves many guests drowsy with relaxation.
  • A whole-body ease: though only the feet are touched, the sense of release spreads — the most surprising part of this session.

What does reflexology not promise?

Reflexology is not a diagnostic or treatment method and should never be sold as a cure. We don't present it that way: it is a quality relaxation session that starts from the feet — nothing more, and that is not nothing.

How does a session flow?

Your feet are first softened with a warm compress; the therapist then works the sole zone by zone using the thumb-walking technique. Pressure is entirely your call — and a note for the ticklish: once the pressure is firm, the tickle disappears. Sessions run 45 minutes and pair well with a classic massage.

Who should ask a doctor first?

If you have diabetes-related numbness, a circulation condition, open wounds on the feet, or are pregnant, please check with your physician before booking. See our reflexology page or give us a call.
